So after wasting a whole day on the coralife super sucky skimmer i finally gave up on it! Dont wanna see it dont wanna hear about it anymore!

    ..moving on

Can somebody recommend me a decent protein skimmer that is roughly in the same price range.. $150 tops..

I hear the Seaclone 100 is pretty good but a lot of people are experiencing leaking problems..

I will be using it as a HANG ON on a 30gallon tank.

Thank You for all the recommendations

PS. And thank you for all those who struggled to help me with the coralife :)

+1 on the remora, everything I have seen and heard say they are great for a small tank.

I have never owned a Seaclone, but also have never heard a good thing about it. I would highly recommend an AquaC Remora HOB, very reliable and incredibly easy to use, just plug and play. You can try looking for a used one to save some money too.

+1 on the AquaC Remora, no brainer for that price range.

It was the first skimmer I've ever bought/used, Have it HOB on my 55g Reef tank and have had no issues over the past 4-5months. It pulls a nice amount of junk out daily and is not loud IMO.

You will get some microbubbles initially but they will dissapear once the skimmer has broken in. Also, get the maxi-jet 1200 pump as it is better than the Rio 800 IMO.

You really won't find competition against Aqua C in that price range for a HOB, but here is another option:

    BH 100F Protein Skimmer

If you don't want to order online and your LFS doesn't carry Aqua C, how about you tell us what they do carry and we can start from there.
