Well everything is finally in the tank ran the lights for a little bit since things where in the dark for about a day a little concern tank has been running right at 78-79 degrees and when the lights are on for that little bit the tank raised up to 81-82 degrees. At what point do I need to get worried about the temp I noticed the fans are not working on the light hood I will have to tear into that after work tomorrow. I will put a fan in the room to try to cool things down is there anything else that can be done to lower water temp besides a chiller. Will more water movement help and does anyone how much heat is produced if any by a powerhead

Dang I wrote it up last night but must of forgot hit the reply button anyways I have SWC older model protien skimmer and can find any info on how to adjust the flow the guy that sold it to me said push the black pipe down ro reduce it and I had to use a rubber mallot get it to move down now it wont go back up. The collection cup just fills with water almost instantly I do have the air a thing out of the water. The newer models have a valve on it can I put one on to make it adjustable or do I need to tear down my sump to get better access at this thing please help tank needs this up and running its steal a little cloudy from the move and worried. tank is steal at 82.2 deg. with lights on is that way to hot?

I will post some more pics in a minute photobucket froze on me again

I sill have lots to do I did not have enough live rock to finish landscaping pick more up tomorrow to finish hiding my pvc rack and build up both corners.

steal having problems with temp. when lights come on it will raise to 82.2 deg. I have a light suspension kit on its way I will tear into the hood and try to find out why the fans are not working. by morning it drops to 77 I am trying to get that to go no more than 79 to lowest level so there is not such a big spread.

and today my main goal is to get my protien skimmer working the chamber steal wants fo fill with water I am going to try to put a valve on the pipe to see if that helps I know nothing about this skimmer and having trouble finding anything about only can find newer models and they all have a valvle on top

Thanks Yes its a pvc support not done with it yet steal can see the pipe ran out of live rock. There is only one person in my town that sell saltwater stuff, he runs his business out of his garage private maintance of fish tank. Oh there's a petco if you count them I don't. Hopefully he has enough live rock to finish everything up I need to get some corals moved up they need more light.
Finally got the protien skimmer working one more thing checked off my list steal lots to do
