Yeah leathers are softes.

 

Leather's will "shed" their skin when growing or stressed out and will stay closed for some time while this is happening. I thought for sure I had lost my Devil's Hand frag in my 29 gallon tank because it stayed closed for 5 days, but then it started sheding and the next day it was larger and looked great!

Leather's are not that hard to keep, moderate flow and low-moderate lighting and they will do great. My toadstool will close toward the end of the day right before the Metal Halide's shut off, I think that species doesn't like a lot of light. Keep up on your partial water changes and try to keep things as stable as you can and you will do great!

Man I can't get enough of that scape, it's sexy! How are you liking the light? Oh and the new light is probably the reason the Toad closed up.

 

Hahah thanks! We like the scape too! And the light is awesome, really bright and looks pretty well made. The bulbs were easy to move around and everything the toadstool is wierd.... He was closed up for like a week, then we moved him and put on the new light and he is comming out again! We thought all of the corals would close up when we put it on but they are looking good!
