    So you want to set up the 40g and keep the 29 up?

    It's definately doable but it would probably take a while. I know nothing about predatory fish so I would check out LA. Fowlr fish are really messy eaters so a sump/skimmer is very important.

    although they are messy eaters, they dont need nitrates to be at 0 like in a reef, i think theyre comfortable at 20.

    That's true. But without a skimmer trates will hover at 40.
