    How deep? I would do more than a 4". Really deep ones can look ugly IMO. And if it's for nitrate reduction, there's other ways to take care of that. A jaw fish would do fine in 3".

    i think you should go for it. although theyre deep, there is a lot of life and things you can learn about it. its really cool if you know the science behind them. plus it helps with trates.
