If you do decide to get a tang...make it a bristletoosh or a kole tang. They are some of the smallest tang species common in our hobby.

LA has weird guidelines for tank sizes. Some of them seem undersized, some seem way exaggerated. But I still would't suggest getting that large of a fish for your size tank.

Personally, I might put 7 fish in there...maybe more if they are small.

 

Depend on what fish you get. If you get a tang, I'd do no more than 5-6. If its all 3-4" fish then maybe 7-8...?

Remember, 66 gallons is with the system full. With rock and sand the dt will probably be like 50-55.

Haha thanks guys! Still worrie about ich, but we will try and avoid it as long as possible. We are also going only get a tang if its small, healthy, added last, and would do well in our tank. We will seeeeee!

 

The only large fish will be a pygmy angel, a schooling bannerfish..and maybe maybe a small tang. I think well skip the tang though.

Fairy wrasse
Orange stripe prawn
Jawfish
Midas blenny
Dragonette (eventually)
Anthias

I know i cant have them all, but maybe if we skipped the tang we could most

I agree with Mattias. Tangs are messier fish, so definitely lower the stocking amount if you get one.
