My gbta is in the process of spliting is this good or bad? The reason I ask is bc I always hear about people agitating the bta to split. Thanks in advance

Spliting is natural process of reproduction. If you give your gbta all the right condition to thrive, it will split. On the other hand, if you have big gbta (relative to your tank), gbta could be stressed and split. Either case, it is known to release toxin during the spliting process. You should run carbon and keep a closer watch on your water quality. Prepare to do water change at the first sign of stress.
