Question for the softie keepers out there regarding Green Clove Polyp coral.

First is what I have for sure GCP? It was sold to me as such and I do believe it is Clavularia of some sort although it does not match all the pictures I see, not sure if it is because they are still smaller or if its because they are a different species of Clavularia than the normal GCP

I purchased it 3 days ago for a little less than 20 bucks, not the greatest deal but decent I figured. I removed it from its frag plate today since it was just a piece of rock covered in polyp gleud to a fragdisk and repositioned it in the tank. It is about halfway down in the very back under a dual bulb T5HO fixture in kind of a low flow area. Is this appropriate for this coral or does it need more flow?

You are right it is Clavularia, they are called Daisy polyps

I don't think they are Glove Polyps( Clavularia). Not frilly enough. I think they are Jasmine Polyp (Knopia sp.).
Either way they like moderate flow and lighting. Mid to upper level will be fine!!

Heres a link they look a little darker in the pic but I am sure its from photoshop or a natural variance within the species.

I have to agree with the picture provided by Vinny, Jasmine Polyps they are! I have them about midway for lighting. the flow moves them from time to time but is not constant might be kind of low but I guess time will tell

PS I am not sure why my post did that with the font size, I even attempted to go back and fix it and could not figure it out. Just sign on the bottom line :)

I think they will be fine with periodic movement. When I had some the ones that got hit with heavier flow did not open as much and growth of the colony was not in that direction.
