They had a 65 and 75 watt CFL flood light @ 6500k a couple months ago at Lowes, but I dont see the bulbs anywhere anymore. Did they discontinue this bulb? Does anyone know of a good substitute bulb for a refugium?

I noticed them yesterday at my local lowes. I am in MA though, it could be different in different parts of the country. I was actually looking for a 6500K led, but leds were all 2700K-3000K :( . The only things 6500K I could find was the GE you mentioned.

You might find them in Sylvania and Phillips brands also.

Any lamp marked "Daylight" should suffice...

I too noticed this. I had to dig around the entire store, not just the light bulb area to find the 6500K compacts. I found them by the ceiling fans. Mostly, they carry the 3500K. As for the LED, I have yet to see 6500K LED PAR30/38's at Lowes or Home Depot.
