Zero waste, hot water tank systems are limited to 15-20 GPD due to the lack of space in a homes hot water system and tank. Its not that easy.

I am going by comments I have seen from other owners and from the GE published information as to rejection or removal efficiency, your is the exception and not the norm for large producing systems such as the Merlin. Generally speaking they are a 90% maybe up to 94% efficient system in most applications. Like you said great when you don't want to wait around but a little lacking in water quality. Pumped systems can achieve the same GPD but with better efficiency since membranes perform better at higher pressures.
I agree, this should not be a debate, just different technologies or different applications of the same technology I suppose.
