I just picked up a couple Geismann retros at Marine Depot for $75 each. I got the 48" 2x54W for my 150G tank. I'm going to make a canopy/hood as well, so I will document that in the "I Made This" section. I just wanted to spread the word in case anyone is looking for a good deal.
They have 24" and 36" on sale too.

I'm going to be moving the MH over to my 20G tank, then the 70W MH is going over to my 12G nano, and the new T5 will be the only lights over the 150G. I figure I don't need MH over that tank since it's a predator tank. Corals will never go in that tank.
I'm probably going to make the 20G into a nano reef, so the 250W of MH will keep the corals happy. I'll have it about 2-3' above the tank to keep it from heating up too much.
As for the T5, I think I'm gonna go with Geismann combo bulbs, I think they are called Aqua plus?

i wonder if this is one of those times which everyone on here always talks about. don't impulse buy, do your research, don't buy cheap you will spend more money in the long run. i don't really mean anything buy this just talking off the top of my head. i am having a real hard time no going for this deal myself. i have a pc over my tank right now. i don't have any light needy corals right now. however, i know at some time i am going to need atleast t5s. i just don't want to jump on this just because its a good deal. i just would like to know more about their quality. i also am sorry if i hijacked this thread.

Geismann is one of the top quality lighting manufacturers on the market now. They are just trying to move old stock (stuff sitting there over a year). These are normally double the price. Everything looks awesome to me. It comes with individual reflectors too.
