    i live in south africa
    i have a question
    are the spots on a gem only blue when thy are juvenile
    i have only seen two in my life
    the other one was +-20cm and the spots was white
    my gem tang is only 8cm and has blue spots

    I guest yes m8, When they are small they have the small blue touch, but for the larger one its less visible, it fades with the larger one i.e larger than 3.5 inch. I met some1 from south Africa last time he told me gem tangs have become quite rare these days in your SA, or does it depends on season? Here they have their season (March-July).

    but what i can let you know is that the guy i got my gem tang from dives every day
    he told me that he got a good year and collected 5
    show me photos of Centropyge debelius
    i just love them

    Centropyge debelius only one person in Mauritius had been catching them, its a diver in the west. His name is Daniel Pelicier, I don't know if he's still catching, in fact he is the person who discovered the Mauritian pymy angel and not helmut debelius. I met him last time, he was not looking fit, he's old. I don't promise you but mayB am going to try catch 3-4 specimens for breeding. For that I need to go atleast 80m. Like the afrian flameback I hope it will be possible to breed them.::)

    when you have a debelius let me know it is one of the angels that i want to have(i need to have)
    jumping beans ( flameback)are everywhere
    i will send you a photo of a collin angel i am geting in jan
    and a joculator i am geting one in feb

    Apparently these person were able to raise the debelius!!!!
    My dream is to be the first person to successfully reproduce my favourite fish, the zebrasoma gemmatum!!!

    i think the ultimate will be a gemmatum crossbred with a rostratum now that will be nice

    Yes, Its my father! Well, i didin't want to put the name of the company because it would have been like doing a marketing and I guest its against the rule here:confused:

    We have a very small stock in Mauritius! I'll post photos very soon. At the moment its around only 800gallons. But Hopefully this week-end we are starting an enlargement to around 4000gallon. Am just waitng for my Deltec TC3070s.

    M8 do you have any experience with breeding?? I think another great hybrid will be yellow tang with gem tang or Xanthurum with gem tang.. Just imagine the end result...
