Why don't you just feed a little every day? if you do weekly water changes you should be ok. Fish need to eat every day.

Mmm...kinda, but not really. Think about it like this, fish in the wild have to find their own food and forage it from the rocks, sand, etc. I feed mine every other day and I do have tangs. Feeding every other day encourages them to do what they do in the wild - find food.

My fish, tangs especially, will be seen eating algae off the rocks and glass all the time. And even more so on the days I don't feed. It's better for them this way so they don't lose all sense of nature.

Besides, feeding every day leads to over-feeding. Over-feeding leads to high nitrates and phospahtes. High nitrates and phospahtes lead to the daaaarrk siiiiide (algae of every kind).
