I'm looking to get a one in the not too distant future and I keep arguing with my mom about their shedding compared to irish setters which we currently have and a english springer spaniel that we use to have. She thinks they shed way worse then those two,I say no. any input?

if you like those kind of pups but dont want the shedding maybe look at poodles, wheaten terriers (or most any terriers), or portuguese water spaniel.
But all dogs shed a good amount its just that the hair of say a poodle or terrier gets tangled up and thus does not fall to the ground as much.

Oh, they shed incredibly large amounts! Mine's undercoat never stops shedding all year long. But she's worth it :)

yep they do shed quite a bit, I have wood floors and every other days its broom time- even tho she gets brushed.

but my taylor girl is a real sweat heart, until you try to grab me- she bout bit my brother one night when we were messing arround.

mine is about 90 lbs- she is pretty big for a female- she is 2 yrs old and smart as a whip.
