Looking for some advice. I am likely going to be doing some home upgrades this summer, included in this is my kitchen/dining room where my 90 gallon currently resides. There is no way around it, if I upgrade this room I will need to break down the tank to move it to another room while the remodeling is done. So my question is, should I buy a new tank? I am not looking forward to breaking down the tank at all as I like the scape and everything as it currently sits, but since I have no choice, does it make sense to get a new tank at that time. I bought the 90 1.5 years ago used (not sure how long it was set up prior to me owning it). The silicone appears to be ok, some chipping away but not horrible. I see the
Plus side of new tank is its new and I have no worries of leaking.. Down side is its new and fresh and I will loose all my coralline algae.

What would you do? Am I missing any pros/cons?
    Thanks!

I would love to upgrade to a larger tank but I don't have the space to go larger then a 90 (4 long). So if I did get a new tank it would be the same thing.... Does that change you minds???

Maybe a picture of where it currently sits will inspire new thoughts. I had to take mine down twice it sucks. However, I was able to change plumbing, and other things that I did wrong the first time around. You could possibly get a taller or wider tank. If its all that fits and you have to break it down you could take that time to redo the silicone in the tank. Hard to say really.

My 150 is 4 feet long by 2 feet wide and 30 inches deep. Works great for smaller rooms and still gives you a big tank.
