    im getting a biocube for Christmas is there anything i should get a head of time or mods that i should do..and dont just tell me to go HQI..im just looking for basic mods and solutions to problems you guys might have had if any.

    Upgrade the pump to a maxijet, as big as possible.
    Take the sponge out of the 3rd chamber, its pointless.
    Dont use bioballs, use Live rock in the 2nd chamber.
    Switch to a better lighting system. (LEDs)
    Punch out the bottom piece in the first chamber its pointless.

    I dont know for a 29, but for a 14 i used the second smallest one, which ended up being like twice as powerful as the stock pump.

    ok well this is the third smallest the 1100 (294gph) is this the bigger version of what you have or am i lookin at somthing totally different
