I have a rbt anemone that is attached to 2 different large live rocks. I've been trying to get it to move all the way onto 1 or the other so I can remove it from my tank and scrape it off so I can sell it. I've had a powerhead blowing right on it for about 5 days now and no movement. Is there another good trick to try to coax it to move?

I hear an ice cube works wonders.

I've heard where people have applied ice to the foot...it's interesting, most people have the opposite problem and want the BTA to stop moving :)

    :)

I would think you don't want to keep it there to long tho. Or you may burn its foot.

If the rock can be removed, hang it upside down over a bucket, It will slowly loosen its foot and fall off. Or you can grab a small cutting tool and cut the rock just under the foot

I built a one LED unit to coax the anemone to move. Some times, I've had to kill tank light intensity to help encourage it more. I've done the inversion thing before as well.

I'll try the ice later today. If I can get it so it's only attached to 1 rock I have no problem lifting that rock out of the tank and getting him to detach. It's just that I can't pick both large rocks up at the same time without risking injuring or killing him since he's attached to both.
Once the rock is out I have had a lot of luck using a plastic spoon to peel them off.
