I bought some nori and a clip and my fish still haven't tasted it. I usually soak in garlic then I clip it in the tank and leave it for an hour.

I soak my nori in some tank water for about 5 min, tear it into bite sized pieces, and put it in front of a powerhead. My tangs fight over it and it is usually gone within about 30 seconds. When I used to use clips, they would pick at it, but then it would get loose from the clip and just go out my overflow.

How long have you been trying? Sometimes it takes a while for the fish to gain the confidence. In my tank, the fish are all Leary of anything I add especially if man made. They usually wait for the dither fish (desjardini tang) to try it out befor the rest will have a go. One thing I do is fold the nori in half before adding to clip. This seems to make it last longer on the clip in my experience. Some people will rubber band the nori to a rock.

Actually, a week is a long time for the fish to show no interest. You might try the rock thing. Also, you might try an area with less flow. They might give it a try if it isn't moving.

Those fish are all omnivores. Unless you train the clowns and bangaii, the cherub is the only fish that might go after the algae as it is part of their diet.
