What kind of clowns and what kind of anemones? Not all clowns will nest in any anemone.

+1 It may happen it may not. Pairing up the proper species is very important though. Also wild caught clowns will give you a much better chance.Lastly Clowns don't host (except parasites, occasional game/talk show and parties lol) the anemone is the host.;)Good luck.
P.S. Do not try forcing them into the anemone as this will lead to the clowns death.

My advice is patience. i don't know of any way to force the issue. Let the anemones choose their own spot and if the clowns are interested in being hosted, they will find the anemones. i had the same situation once where my clowns hung out on one end of the tank and the anemone chose a spot about 3 feet away. i never saw the clowns get any where near and then one day i came home from work and they were both wiggling around in their new home. i have no idea what changed but it had nothing to do with anything i did. Good luck.

I dont know much about Malu Nems, but would say your best shot would be with a Bubble Tip Nem

There are a lot of different types of "common" clowns being bred in captivity so knowing what type you have is important when trying to match them with an anemone. A Google search for Malu comes up with pictures of what is commonly known as a sebae anemone. Is that what you have? If so, then most "common" clowns will nest in them so just give it time.

i have friends that have had success with puttin the clowns and the nem in a container like the ones used for acclimating fish and that seems to work;D do it for a couple of days once they start to host take the nem and place it some where hopefully it wont move from where you placed it :cheesy:

This can be a dangerous practice. Be aware that anemones can kill a clownfish just like any other fish. The Clown will brush lightly against the anemone several times before it secretes a slime coat that will protect it from the nematocysts. If I were to attempt this I would make sure the container is big enough to give the clown plenty of room as to not get eaten.
P.S. THEY DON'T START TO HOST; THE ANEMONE HOSTS THEM.;)
Also I completely agree with Amcarrig. I.D.ing the species is most important. Can you post a picture of your clowns and anemone?
