Do you have enough algae in your tank for it to eat? If not what will you feed it?
I read that they need a well established tank and low lighting to do well.

As far as algae goes I've deffiently got gha taking off right now. And once algae is gone I will either take it back so it won't starve, or find out what I can feed him. And as far as low lighting goes, when researching I saw some threads of people keeping them under metal halides and I guess they were doing great, so I think lighting won't be an issue

    huh?

Mine is doing just fine under my halides. It doesn't venture near the top of the tank during day light but it likes to hang out on the overflow at night.

I wouldn't worry to much about feeding it if you have some coralline algae. It will eat the coralline. when coralline gets eaten it seems to see that as a signal to grow like crazy:)

You should be able to see it's little "feet" moving around feeling things out.

It should start crawling around soon. If it does not move then.......

hmmm ok i think i saw his spikes, or whatever moving around in the bag when i brought him home, so maybe that's a sign that he's a live. he was also kind of hard to get out of the bag, almost like he was suctioned to the bottom of the bag so maybe that's also a good sign
