    I rarely ever seen my chocolate chip unless he was chowing down on my coral lol I seen a baby bristle today with like 6 legs in my tank

    Just about 3 to 4". Question is how big is your tank? How deep is your sand bed? If your tank is too small the star can starve. My understanding is that you need about 100 gallons for each. Mine is 90 soon to be 150 with 2 to 3 inches of sand. I had the sand sifter for about six months now with no problems.

    75gal tank with 2-3 inchs of sand just picked up more sand today to make it 3-4 in most places and 4-5 in others. In about 4months i will be upgrading to a much larger tank.
