Alright, that's what I will do. Is it going to survive the cycle? Otherwise I might go with raw shrimp only...

He was recommending it for my sump pump... Is it ok? What's a good brand that's not too expensive?

How about a Marineland Euro 1100 Utility Pump - 294gph? It's got 3 years warranty.

    thanks

    Skimmer:
Aqua C Remora skimmer. I think it's the best skimmer I've ever used. That's if you are going to use a HOB skimmer. In sump, I have no idea as I have never used one.

    Light:
For around $300 you can get either a Current Sundial (4bulb HO T5), or a Nova Extreme Pro (6 bulb HO T5). The Sundial will be less than $300, the Nova Extreme Pro will be a little more. With the Nova Extreme Pro you will be able to keep just about any coral you want. The Sundial will limit you some.

    Rock:
Why is the base rock not porous enough? It should be the same kind of rock as the Live rock, just barren of life. If not, I'd find somewhere else to get base rock. The more porous the better, in my opinion.

well regarding the chromis living the cycle, is really 50/50. I hear some peoples fish die during cycle, and some lives, mine was a surviver, but it died in Thanks giving because of heater failure when I went to vegas for a week and water was at 40. sad sad day, lost like alot of corals, cleaner shrimp lived though lol i was shocked
