GFO Reactor Kit $54!!!!!!

Doesn't look like it can be mounted/screwed to stand. Can it, or must it be placed on floor or in sump?

 

yes it can be mounted to the side of the stand, that is how we have ours in the store.

 

I ordered two of these yesterday as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when running carbon through one of these you want the carbon to be packed between the two sponges so that it doesn't move, and when you run GFO through one you want it tumble in the flow of water running through it, correct?

I haven't used a reactor before, just had media in mesh bags, so just checking.

 

What is the normal price for this unit?

I would be surprised if this reactor would hold enough bio pellet media that would be adequate for tanks over 90 gallons. Have a look at the following video.

Are you positive? In a previous post, you mentioned this reactor the same dimensions as the BRS. Accordingly to their specifications, it only holds 350ml of bio pellets.

yeah its bigger than the brs ones... purewaterguy sent me an email stating that the reactor will hold 705 ml of pellets and still have enough room to tubmle..

 

Did he send you the specific dimensions?
