    also i would only scrape it when you do water changes and get your water dirty and then change a good bit..as long as you got the water the same ph, temp, and salinity you should be safe doing a large water change..and make sure your water your using is 100% 0 on the tds meter..or you could be even feeding the algae with the water changes..

    My water is reading 0 TDS and I always clean the glass and blast when I am siphoning. I guess it's time to up my game with GFO :)

    yeah gfo turned my tank around water quality wise..theres other ways like keeping your ph around 8.5 all day and night by using kalk, but thats risky and you have to have either a controller or ph meter..and you also dose vodka to help breakdown nitrates and phosphates..but if you do either of these research research research...
