Giant Aiptasia?

    So I was just looking through some ads on craigslist in my area, and I found this picture.. This guy is selling his salty tank and posted a few pics. Does anyone know what this thing is? It kind of looks like the biggest aiptasia I've ever seen, but I wasn't sure lol. I'm curious, yall got any idea?

    massive aptasia

    it looks big enought to eat that strawberry dottyback behind it.

    actually i have seen these in an lfs near me. as i remember he called them giant glass anemone or something like that. they looked like a giant aptaisia but some had like fuzzy tentacles.

    Glass anemones are aiptasia.

    Lol yeah it looks exactly like a huge aiptasia to me. I've never even heard of one that huge.. I feel like I should tell this guy haha.

    When you post a picture of a giant aiptasia on CL, you already know that whoever contacts you is going to be a newb sucker.

    Yeah, it's a giant aiptasia/glass anemone. If you get small enough clowns, it could host them LOL.

    no...that is a curly q anemone, or corkscrew anemone- they generally come from Hawaiian waters and are very cool= can be hard to care for. Need lot's of light- they come in as HH's very often. Heh- funny.
