    It's hard to say. Different tanks could = different results...... My friend had them split within a couple of months in his tank.

    Mine's been in a weird splitting stage FOREVER now. I got it as a 'frag', lost all but 1" diameter of it, and it regrew to 6" diameter. Since then it has grown two mouths and seems like it's starting to pinch off in the middle, but it's been at that exact phase for literally a year or two now. Previously it was under 160 watts of NO bulbs (too little?), now it's under 516 watts of MH/T5 (too much)? Anyway, that's been my experience... a little frustrating but mostly just peculiar (shrug) :)
