There is a giant isopod in the Toba Aquarium in Japan that has been on a hunger-strike for the last 4 years. At nearly a foot long, you would think think it would devour a fresh mackerel placed in its tank. But oddly, it only pretends to. Perhaps it's time for a bigger tank?

The giant isopod lives 100 meters under the sea. They are shrewd scavengers who have adapted to going for long periods of time without food. However, when food is present, they can have ravenous appetites, sometimes even biting and cutting through underwater cables.

Yeah... not sure I'd feel comfortable handling that.

    Where are the Kevlar gloves?
