Well, I've been having some health issues for the past two months or so. I've been really sick and in a lot of pain. I got back from the doctor today and I either have a duodenal ulcer or gallbladder issues. I've been put on two really strong (and make you feel awful) antibiotics and a prescription stomach acid blocker. Anyway, this probably all developed from some food poisoning I had awhile back...lovely...if the three drugs don't help me, then it may be my gallbladder and I'll have to go back for some more tests.

So, I decided for a gift to myself for going through this hell, and hopefully feeling better in a few weeks, that I'm going to buy a really nice light fixture for my 90 gallon. Moonlights and all!!

Just wanted to share that! So if anyone has any good light fixtures, let me know!

Thanks for the well wishes. It really means a lot! I've felt so isolated and depressed lately being stuck in bed, practically all day. Luckily I work from home, so I've been able to keep up with work.

I checked out those lights and they sure look nice!! I'll look around and see if I can find them cheaper somewhere.

Thanks! I really hope it's not my gallbladder, but thank your kitty for empathizing with me! ;)

I'm going to pick up my nasty drugs right now - so here's to better days!!

Sorry to hear about the health issues, I had a bleeding ulcer last winter and it was no fun at all. Hopefully the new light will make you feel better and good luck healing those kinds of ilnesses are no joke.

Sorry to hear about the health issues - I am glad you are taking good care of yourself, even if it means the yucky meds.

I think it is GREAT that you are treating yourself not only with medications and following doc's orders but by getting a nice light for your tank setup.
The tank undoubtedly makes you happy and you should have a light that makes the critters, fish and corals happy - that way everyone is a winner!

The new light thing makes me smile - living in western NY where the winters and lack of sunlight go on and on, I tend to get the extended blues from the whole lack of sunlight & vitamin D thing. Well, when i got my tank and started setting it up - i announced to my family that this winter i was going to get myself one of those "happy lights" for the sunlight issue. Little did they know that mine was going to include fish and corals.

Enjoy your light - we all deserve a treat now and again....and again....and again! take care of yourself :)
