    so heres my theory: start huge and say you want a 400gal. then say ok! ill "compromse" to a 200 gal.

    Of all the advice, I think Steve is sending you in the right direction.

    You could even (silently) talley the topics discussed and give her a 2:1 ratio. I joined this forum to "listen" and "talk" without driving my poor spouse crazy. He bears up pretty well but then I know he will aesthetically adore the working aquarium. A matter of time.
