Hi, Im very new to this site and to saltwater fisheries...(Lol, is that a word?)
I have a yellowtail blue damsel, a blue damsel, and a yellow one with blue stripe ( a beau gregory i believe?) But its this guy im having trouble naming.

You can't tell from its picture (so camera shy) But its a dark purpley/brown color, with tiny red and blue stripes running down the tip of its nose to the tip of its fin on its back. white line on its tail and blue lining the edges of its fins. just about the only thing you CAN make out from its pic is the black dot with blue around it. Can anyone help me id it? can you tell if damsels are male or female?

We named both of ours "yellow tail damsel", a.k.a. didn't name either one. Good name for a fish. Guess what I name my coral?

EDIT: I see this is your first post, so welcome to 3REEF by the way.

It is a damsel. Damsels are in distress. Repunzel is my entry.
