So how often does everyone need to use their MagFloat on the inside of their tank? I kind of thought my clean up crew would take care of the inside of the glass (for the most part) but I find that I need to clean it every two days. Does this seem right? The front of the glass always has snail trials all over it but there is plenty of light algae left behind. Do I need a bigger crew?
FYI: Tank has been running for a month now.

    OK I'm Compulsive!

Truth is probably a neurotic measure. I have a hex I clean the glass on about every third day. My Fowler I clean nearly everyday. If I see impaired view I clean! The cleaner crew doesn't cover everything.

Wow, I thought it was just me. I dont have much of a CUC to speak of. I clean my glass about every other day, too.

If I only did it once a week my tank would look terrible. :(

I do it every other day as impulse. You can reduce the diatoms by removing silicates within the water and cut back on the photo period.

Is that what this film of algae is, diatoms? If I understand correctly, diatoms are called brown algae also, is that right? This doesn't look too brown but I assume it could be greenish as well?
