Glass Cover ??

I knew that, just busting chops.. Yeah, mine will hang from a suspened ceiling. I might put some added supports or just mount to the studding above..

I have a low ceiling so will hang a thin chain on both ends....just for piece of mind.

Some of the light companies make really nice decorative adjustable cable hangers that have a nice cover for the ceiling mount. I paid 30 bucks for mine when I bought my Sunpod. Good Luck!

 

has anyone seen any type of floor stand that would be suitable for a 48" fixture. I have very high ceilings that it wouldn't be practicle to hang a my fixture from.

 

Here's an idea for one. Pretty easy to build or have built. You could even have the arm that has a mounting plate that the fixture mounts to. As for the botton you have have a mounting plate to mount to the floor or just with added weight.
