If your drilling the sides you should be fine. I just did it to a 20L an am looking for a 30L or 40L to do it to.

    Good luck.

depends on the company.. if it was made by aquaeon then they are not tempered until about 75 gallons.. I believe tetra's smaller tanks have tempered bottoms but regular side panels.. I say go for it, just drill the back..

dont be scared.. go very slow, Im talking like 20-30 minutes to drill with only the weight of the drill as pressure.. and about every minute flush out the drillings and keep good fluid over it.. I drilled a 10 gallon and its not as hard as it seems, just time consuming..

drilled my tank just the other day. definitely drill the back or side just to make sure. put a bead of plumbers putty or anything similar around where the whole will be. put some water inside your little levee. start the drill at a small angle just to get started and then gradually straighten the drill up. use slight pressure and with a fairly new bit you should be through in 2 minutes tops with a tank that thin. remember slight and i do mean slight pressure. then enjoy. so you know i drilled my 75 with no practice just went right to it.
