I want to glue a peice of my Monti Cap on the corner glass in the aquarium. As it grow's will the rest of it attach itself to the glass or will I be constantly adding glue as it grow's? Thank's for your time. If you have some on glass it would be helpful if you posted some pictures of it. (and entertaining also)

I haven't ever seen it on glass, but I have seen it on overflows.
It will most likely just grow outwards from the glue. Meaning you wouldn't have to add more glue, but it wont grow up the glass either.

It is possible.... But ime you will have a hard time keeping it GLUED to the glass....Now for when it starts growing imo the coral will also have a hard time growing on the glass also. Its best to have coralline algae on the glass to try this. Glass is a smooth surface. Corraline algae isnt smooth like glass and provides a better gluing/growing surface.

Just an idea: maybe you could kind of build an epoxy shelf around suction cups for it.

not a bad idea... cause it would be easier to lean the monti against the glass... and it will grow and attach itself to it.

Call it coincidence but I just started a thread about a green slimer reaching the glass and fusing to it. This is my back glass and it isn't clean. It has some coraline on it. Based on this I'd say it is entirely possible for the monti to grow on the glass. I think the glue will get it started and it will grow out and fuse to the glass as it grows out.

I think his glass is clean. Urs has some nice coralline on it to provide a better surface for attaching.

My glass has a few spots of coralline.....Is there a way to get coralline to grow on the glass.

It will definitely grow onto the glass ... I have an encrusting that has a perfectly straight edge as the result of growing up the side of my tank lol ... its kinda neat looking.

Look through my tank thread ... you can see the edge I'm talking about
