if its a DE bulb there is a pretty good chance that it is not filtered. However most SE bulbs produce less harmful range UV and have thicker glass that will filter out any low range.
You could try a local glass/acrylic store... there is a pretty good chance that they will have something small like that in stock for pretty cheap. can hold you over until you replacement comes in AND then you have an extra just incase this happens again.

Well yes, that would work too! If the vendor has the one i want and sends me one quick, it won't be a problem. But if he doesn't, i might have to go to "Plan B."

Heep in mind that the glass for this fixture is typically tempered. If you get a 3rd party to make a replacement, it might be a good thing to ask them to temper tha glass.

FINALLY! I am getting the piece of glass today and i am going to bring it to Lowes to cut it! It is "OUT FOR DELIVERY" right now! I have not seen my tank in about a week with light so i bet there will not be the even smallest piece of algae. haha LOL! :)

It is tempered and UV protected!

OMG, The door bell just rang literally right after i typed "protected" haha! YEA!!!!! I am going to go check it out!!!

    That really stinks :(
I would not worry about it though because even if you tear the rocks apart you probably will not find ALL of the glass. You will probably do more damage tearing the rocks apart than the glass will do if left in there.
    I wish you luck! :)

You don't plan to take a tempered piece of glass to Lowes to be cut do you? Please tell me it was tempered after it was cut to size.
