I need to replace the end piece of glass on a sump. The sump is glass, the drilled end piece is plexiglass. I need to know if there is anything that will seal the two different materials together. I'm moving to a larger stand for a bigger sump and hopefully soon, a bigger tank. These same two pieces were originally joined by some black nasty looking silicone crap and I don't know if the joint leaked or not. Thanks in advance for the input

I know this does not help much but there is something, I just can't remember what it's called. Keep looking and you'll figure it out!

Why not just go to a glass shop and get the correct size of glass cut for you and use silicone to seal it? I'm not meaning for this to come off as a smart a$$ reply, it's not my intent at all. I just don't think it's worth the risk of dumping xxx gallons of water because the seal wouldn't hold properly, especially over a $15 sheet of glass and $3 of silicone sealant. I would go with tried and true over "this may work for you."

tigermike74, your right and no offense taken. Sometimes I try to do things the "cheap" way and take shortcuts. I guess I just get into a big hurry and want everything to be done yesterday. Thanks again man, off to the glass shop I go. K+

Well said, I've never seen a combination of plexiglasss and glass work out. Sooner or later the seal gives and your back to square one. Luna
