Glass vs Acrylic - pros and cons

    Thanks guys. The more I think of it, the more I'm leaning towards just sticking with glass. With my current setup, I don't have to clean the glass much, once a week with the mag float is good enough. But even at once a week, I would hate to have to be constantly worried about scratching the tank.

    I checked out a huge acrylic tank today, looks great but even though the guy takes all the precautions to prevent it from scratching, I was still able to see lots of scratches.

    Jon, if you're ever in the area check out the tank. It's at City fish Market in Wethersfield, right off the Silas Deane Highway.

    I know plexi glass is arcrylic. I can't spell very well ya' know;) didn't know about the glass can't bond with arcrylic though.

    GLASS all the way i have acrylic and i hate it its a pita to clean cuz u cant use a razor and the scratches are every were GLASS GLASS GLASS

    If you are planning on a starfire tank, that will scratch easier than normal glass due to the low iron content.
