I can get my hands on glass from and old glass diplay. The dis[lay even has aluminun angle that can be removed and cut to size. My question is. Is this glass good for lets say coral tanks lets say 24Lx12Wx10H or even pico tanks? The glass is about 3/16th of an inch in thickness.

That is about the same thickness as a 10 or 20 gallon tank. I think it might work.

maybe a very small pico tank, say no more that 12x12x12... 3/16 is just a little thicker that window payne glass which is usually 1/8 of an inch. Unless you are going to put some kind of frame around it like a wood one, then you might get away with a 24" long tank.

Thats great because one sheet is 69"x32". I'm pretty handy and I'm willing to give it a try I've just never cut this big a sheet of glass before.

Hey gazog what caught my eye about this display was the aluminum angle that holds this thing together. I can take that and cut to fit the size tank I want to make.

A really big flat table, large T-square, piece of really straight wood, a really sharp glass cutter and TONS of patience. It easy to cut into big pieces its when you have to cut small pieces into even smaller pieces it can be a real PITA.
