    Shells from Hobby Lobby
Tonight I bought an asortment of sea shells from Hobby Lobby. Very pretty and very inexpensive. I was rather surprised at the price.
I also bought 2 Lions Paw shells to use as a divider in my tank. I have a BTA that has gotten rather large and is really giving my Devils Hand a hard time. I thought I could use this shell as a barrier between the BTA and the Devils Hand. The shell is a fairly good size and I think it might work.

My question is this: The shell has a bit of a glaze on it-will this be harmful to the tank? I will wash it in hot water first but I wanted to be sure that the glaze wouldn't be a problem.

    What do ya'll think?

    O.K. John O,

If no one else, I know you must have a thought or comment about this. I really want to put this shell in to seperate my anemone and coral before it kills the coral, but if you think it may kill my whole tank I don't want to do it. I would think that  if it were rinsed really good then there should be no problem. But then on the other hand, when I think I tend to get my self in trouble. ::).
So therefore, so I don't get myself into trouble I am asking for ya'lls opinions.

Thanks! Now lets get some responses going!!

    Hey gang,

Thanks for all of your responses! ;) ::)

I've decided that its not in my tanks best interest to use the glazed shell. I have some smaller shells that are not glazed that I may glue together to make a barrier.

I bought Krazy Glue to use. Is this one OK to use?
Please, lets not have everyone respond at one time. [smiley=guitarist.gif] [smiley=grin2.gif] [smiley=smug2.gif]

    Thanks, Cindy

    Thanks birdlady!

That's my baby-Marcie 2 Lou. She's my one year old Yorkie. It snowed this year in East Tx. and that's a snow flake on her head between her eyes. She was so excited about the snow. It had just started to snow. The snow here melts almost as soon as it hits the ground.

Wow! Marcie would be burried in no time. She only weighs 4 lbs. In fact, we have to frequently mow the grass so she doesn't get lost in it.

Here's a couple of pics of our E.Tx snow storm. Don't laugh, everything around here shut down for a couple of days due to the snow.

Marcie wasn't too happy in this first pic, the boys didn't want to play with her. Ha!
