    That fish has way too many issues. What happened to the uncomplicated days, when even your fish didn't have so much baggage?? [smiley=smoking.gif]

    Totally. This makes me real uneasy.

    It will probably take 2 seconds before someone dumps them in the wild. :-/ :p

    Thanks for the article J.

    Matt, other articles on the company I've seen, say that all are steril, not 90% like mentioned in this article..  And that aricle is false, the author apperently didn't do his own homework.  Here in the good ol us, Several companies all ready did that, and are currently marketting them.  Transgenetic fish aren't a new thing, just new to the author.  I'm picking up a few of the transgenetic Danio's to check em out. Only if they're trully steril, otherwise this is a big mistake.

    [glow=Black, 6, 60%]Whether this batch or the next batch is sterile is immaterial...[/glow]

    [glow=Black, 2, 60%]The point is, that someone will make a batch that isn't and let it loose in the Oceans of the World...[/glow]

    [glow=Purple, 2, 60%]??THEN WHAT??[/glow]

    Then we see what happens. It's happening all the time whether with these guys or with farm-raised salmon, piranhas, etc. How about all the foreign stuff that comes out of ship's bilge water port to port?

    Not condoning it, but it's a big clean up job. Hard to imagine anything short of a giant asteroid correcting this mess.

    What's my point? I am not sure. Sorry. :-/

    Freshwater oceans of the world. Luckily, they're small fish, but they could still displace some native species, or eat some small insect others don't. Yah, I'm not really for GM anything, but I wanted to see them, and purchasing them is my only option. Oh well, guess I'll leave the monsters to them. I think its real cool, Europe is so against GM products, fighting the Monsontos of the world. Y

    I agree with karlas, God don't need no help! Everything works fine 'til we want to do something stupid by clononig. You can't improve on perfection!
