What silicone would be good for use with tanks that wont harm fish? Also, cis normal plumbers glue, the purple and clear stuff, okay to use to secure plumbing?

regular pvc glue and clear primer are reef safe after it has dried, cured and been rinsed. The silicone needs to be 100% pure silicone with no antibacterial or antifungil agents added.

Edit-the silicone also requires being fully cured as well before going into water

normal pvc cement and primer should be fine for the plumbing.

Get Ge Silicone 1. Clear or black.
