I bought a little live rock recently that was covered with zoas. What I didn't see right away were the aiptasia tucked between a few of them. When I did a water change, I took the rock out, put it in tupperware with the old tank water. Put it in the window sill and proceeded to slowly zap the aiptasia with Joe's Juice over a period of a week.

You can still get Joe's Juice at Marine Depot. I bought the optional angled nozzles too and that made it really easy.

After I zapped them, I waited a day, zapped some others I missed then eyeballed it for days, occasionally replacing the water. When my paranoia subsided, I put the rock back in the tank... well the fuge anyway. I haven't had any since.

TONS OF THREADS ON AIPTASIA IF YOU SEARCH THIS BOARD (INVERTS) that I moved this too. ;) :)

    good luck

I'm yet to see that work. :( They will only eat it if there is nothing else & if the peppermint shrimp is smaller, it will stay away.

I second the kalk paste approach. Worked well for me. Like said earlier, be careful with it because it's so caustic when that concentrated. Will burn you if not your corals. BTW, you only need a tiny amount. (.1ml)
