It looks great! There will be many spots to place coral. My one suggestion is too make sure the rock is sturdy.

    Thank you sir!

Yea we utilized some pvc foundations in the farthest left pillar, middle left cove, and the two right hand pillar structures. Also used some waterproof masonry cement to reinforce the structures.

Which water parameters should we be keeping a close eye on during the cycle. Seems like ph, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate are the main ones. What about cal, mag, alk? Is any kind of dosing beneficial to the cycling process? Any tips to maximize coralline growth?

Beautiful scape there! I will be tagging along :) will be fun to watch this tank grow.

Coralline grows best with high calcium. They sell that purple up stuff (not sure how well it works cause I haven't used it) I think it generally takes longer for dry rock to "purple" then live rock but I might be wrong. 6 months from now it will be purple don't worry! Enjoy the time you don't need to scrape it off the glass. Are you planning of using and MB7 or other nitrifying bacteria or just the shrimp for now?

I bet you sat around and played with those rocks for a while before they ended up looking that good. ;)

There is a limit to how many pics you can upload per post, but if you create a flickr / photobucket account, you can directly embed the pictures in your thread by copying the embed code from the picture site. There is no limit on that. Plus they're bigger and much easier to view.

Good luck in class tomorrow. Don't spend your lecture on 3reef. lol

Thanks Heidi, currently we only are using some shrimp. This is our first tank so it is a learning process. What are the advantages to using MB7 or other bacteria?

Haha Brett, It took me a moment to figure out who you were. Those rocks took forever, definetly wouldnt look half as good if you didnt help us out. Thanks bro.

Yeah right man... I came home from my breakfast with the asian and you were pretty much all done.

It's looking like the move is a go-ahead at this point... so I'm prolly going to be playing with rocks again soon.
