Go Big or Go Home, Mikes 150 Build

Ahh...Seems like just yesterday when I buy my 150 off of craigslist.I was so excited. I made a list of what I bought,what it would have been worth brand new,what I was gonna stock my tank with...It was the best feeling. I know your're on top of the world right now. Congats n good luck!!

 

Haha, yea I hope I am, its mainly showing up on the large left rock structure which had pink stuff since day one. So I might just be placebo and imagining more growth.

The cloudiness went down in conjunction with the ammonia level. But its nowhere near as clear as the first days we had it. I really need to start taking more photos.

 

We are cycling with base rock, and like 5lbs of live rock, this rock is incredibly expensive. The rock I seeming the pink growth on was not a live rock so it hopefully isn't coralline dying off.

Getting close to be able to stock! I so excited to see some movement in this tank. Its quite challenging to be patient enough to let the cycle do its thing, especially when I visit the lfs and they tell me to buy fish ahah.

 

Craigslist it the way to go! If your patient, recurring theme?, you can find really good deals! Although when you find a good deal on a tank thats way to big its dangerous. Time to really think about the stocking list.
