Well, if what you say is true then you should be angry at MLB not a specific team. I'm sure the Yankees are not the only MLB team that exceeded the salary cap. My response to pjracer was a reaction to his gloating and his statement "wiping the floor with New York Yankees". The Rangers won the series 4-2, not exactly a sweep. No doubt the better team won, but myself and many other Yankee fans are as passionate about the Yankees as pjracer is about the Rangers. No need to gloat. After all, it did take the Rangers 50 years to get to the World Series and if they are lucky enough to win it all, it will take approximately 409 years just to match the current total of Yankee World Series wins. Having said all that, I congratulate the Texas Rangers on their impressive win over my Yankees and hope they win it all. Unless of cause they play the Giants. I too am a Giant fan. However, I go back to when they played in New York and as long as they don't play the Yankees, I will root for them to win.

Bama, you obviously know little about baseball. The ball you are referring to was ruled to be in the stands. Therefore, a home run. And why does the fan have to be "trashball yankee fan". If that same scenario was played out in Texas, I would not have referred to a Texas fan as a redneck trashball Ranger fan.

the fact is, many baseball fans love to see the yanks lose, including myself. They are a good team, and I respect their club and what they do for baseball, but it is encouraging to see teams beat them, especially in the playoffs.

My Braves lost in the first round of the post-season, and I think the Giants deserved that win, because they played better than we did. I'm bummed that we don't get to play the series, but I'm going to root for the Giants because they have a good team, and I hope they can take it all way...
