court jester goby is also know as rainford gobies. They would be fine, but honestly do better in a colder tank than most reef tanks.

As Cheryl has said, stay away from sand sifting gobies. If you want to get a shrimp goby and pistol, it is best to get them paired. I honestly would recommend buying these from Live Aquaria where they are paired. There is always the possibilty of them not pairing up otherwise, even one killing the other.

Alright would the shrimp goby do fine without a pistol shrimp?

What gobies do you think would be fine to keep with a shrimp goby?

Or if I decided not to get a shrimp goby are their any gobies that do better in pairs?

clown gobies can be kept in pairs. However I would look at a citron goby. Looks like clown goby but larger and might be seen more in a larger tank

I love gobies and blennys. Definately can keep a shrimp goby without a pistol. Look into 4wheel drive goby (twin spot), neon goby, greenbanded goby, high fin goby, yashi goby

Firefish, both pink and purple would do well in multiples (actually with firefish i would recommend keeping in odd number.....1,3,5 etc). Helfrichi are very nice.......though kind of expensive

Do gobies have problems with any fish?

    I am planning on adding:
Royal gramma (maybe... Heard they could be semi agresssive)
    Kole tang

To go along with a couple of gobies.

no, gobies are generally good fish to keep.

Add the royal gamma as the last fish. These can be aggressive to new fish that is added to your system

Would it be better to skip on the royal gramma and get a flasher wrasse instead?

well as long as you add the royal gramma last it will be ok. Wrasses tend to jump and you will need a lid over the tank

Rainfords gobies tend to eat microalgae (maybe film algae) and can be hard to keep. I would get a pair of either neon or sharknose gobies. fang blennies are cool to...
