I've been looking for a larger tank and found a guy with a new marineland 300 with stand and canopy that he's never set up. Still sitting on the packing crate. I'm going to pick it up Saturaday. I'll try to post some pics if I can figure out how. The works will be behind the wall in a separate room to make access easy. I'm pretty excited.- Paul

As Scar said in "Lion King" "Be prepareddddddd!!!" hehe
Tanks that big are a huge undertaking to get started.

Start a build thread with it. Hope you have put a budget back for a tank of that size.

Have fun! I plan on upgrading soon myself, but not quite that big, yet....

FWIW, a bigger tank is easier to care for than a smaller one. But on the downside, you will probably need a bigger skimmer, and upgraded equipment, and longer/ more lights for the new tank.

The other downside is increased electric costs.

But it is worth it untill you get the itch to go bigger again. Have fun with the build and plan ahead and go slow.

Oh yeah, it is definitely worth it.

If I can do this 180g, it is def a showpiece tank with its custom stand and canopy. when I go bigger, it will be in the basement, behind the bar linked to it's dedicated fish room.:)
