Anyone has any advice? I am going away for 2 weeks. I could ask a friend (who is not fish hobbyist) to top up the water and feed once in 3 days. I could prepare 6 bottles (1L each) with conditioned tap water and frozen cube food. I tried to make this as simple as possible for my friend. Is this enough? Thanks!

note: I have 80L Nano Blenny, clown fishes, lps and softies, including one sun coral.

    Cheers.

If I was you I would pre measure dosing unless you have a dosing pump with instructions on when to dose, also I would have water jugs with Ro/DI beside the tank and make a small line to show the person watching your tank where to keep the water level at, other than that I think you're set to go, when I went way my roommate had control over my tank and I was super worried but I came back and it looked better than when I left! :D. Maybe I should take tips from him? Lol

He did say Tap water, perhaps he doesn't use RO/DI? neither did I at first.

Your plans sound pretty good to me.

I've heard of people leaving for 2 weeks, NO feedings, probably had an ATO, and came home and NO losses!!

    Have fun on your vacation

not so sure about the sun coral, but other than that, you can easily go 2 weeks without feeding. you really don't need to feed clowns more than weekly to begin with, they'll forage.

LOL, no, RO/DI is better and I am planning to invest on it one day though. Conditioned tap water is better than none.

Thanks for all the advises. I can do the pre-mixed water, and, that's a good advise about marking the water line.
