Im going out of town for about a week in a couple hours and im looking for something to keep the fishies fed while im away. i tried getting some nori soaking it in kent marine zoe and tying it to a rock so it sets at the bottom of the tank but the they are just ignoring that its there. any ideas what i can stick in there?

This question should have been asked at least a few days ago. If you can't have somebody feed them, an autofeeder can suffice, although it's not perfect. It's also better to have everything setup and make sure it's working before going away for a period of time. Have you thought about other issues such as:

    - evaporation
    - emptying skimmer cup
    - timers for lights and refugium if necessary

Evaporation is probably the biggest issue. If you have an ATO, you should be ok as long as your reservoir is big enough.

well i did think about leaving the tank for the last week, thats why i got an ato with a ten gallon tank i loose about a half gallon a day so i shoud be good there the lights have there own timer with bat backup, and the heated and pump are hooked to a ups so they will run about 45 mins in a power outage i though i had the food angle covered with the nori but the fishies proved me wrong there

The most stressful part of my travels is my tank.... and I'm not a stressed kind of guy. You can never be too prepared.

I say set up a few security cams via usage through a internet access for your iphone/blackberry...
also a internet ready controller elos and apex have 2 of the most versitile up to date reef system controllers...
this way you'll be able to control diffrent types of equipment in your tank...also monitor changes happening in your reef...
an ATO with plenty of RO making water...
I think the max for you to be gone with this should be a week...the rest I'd get a buddy or someone who know there stuff to change water and do a bi weekly cleaning maintainece...
