    Right now i have

    2x giessmann aquablue +
    2x giessmann actnic +

I am thinking i might add another aquablue + and a procolor or maybe a "mid day bulb

    But I dont like yellow...

I was also considering just adding two more aquablue's so that i have 4 aqua blues to 2 actnic +

If there anything like ATI aquablues, 4 in a 6-bulb fixture will be VERY white. I really like the look of my 3 ATI blue plus, 2 ATI aquablues, and a fiji purple (more or less the same as a pro color).

I think the ATI aquablue is almost the same bulb...

what is the "purpose" of the fiji purple?

Someone told me they grow some nuisance algea...any truth to that?

GMann and ATIs Aquablues are essentially the same lamp in all ways.

Fiji puple will help bring out reds, purples and some pinks...
It has decent PAR but pricey as its KZ and they like USA $$ :)

Lamps aren't to blame for algae nutrients are..

Do you like the color you have now? If so why not just get one more each of what you are running? If you get 2 more AB+ and have 4:2 its going to be awfully white...

What about a 6000k and another Blue+ the blue will ofset the slight yellow of the 6000k but the day light will give you some nice PAR and even out the spectrum.. Just a thought.

"Lamps aren't to blame for algae nutrients are.. " True, however, if the tank is bordering on excess nutrients for whatever reason, some lights will accelerate algae gowth, hence the reason we don't burn old bulbs.

I would add two more blue bulbs, either two more actinic plus or two blue+, or just splite it 50/50, but I would not do 4 daylights and two actinics.
